Event Details

There will be a 5K course as well as a 1.2 mile family friendly event for those who want to walk and enjoy the scenery. Both run/walks will be professionally timed for those who want to keep track of their statistics. Water and snacks will be provided to all participants near the finish line. Participants and all attendees are invited to visit the Orphan Expo going on throughout the morning. Map of Rock Creek Park

Runner’s Fundraising

We are asking that each runner/walker commit to raising funds.  Imagine the impact you will make, as all donations will go toward caring for orphaned and vulnerable children across the world.  First comes choosing an organization to partner with, second comes the challenge! Challenge yourself and your teammates to raise more donations than all the other teams. Keep track of your donations through your own fundraising page!  Ready, set, go!

We work with homeless families in Northern Virginia and impoverished children in the Embakasi District of Nairobi, Kenya. It is not our intent just to make daily life better for the children, but to help children stay in a nurturing family environment that will give them the best chance to become productive citizens, thereby ending the cycle of poverty.
